Collaborators is built so the right people can find you, and the wrong ones can’t reach you. Here’s how, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Report in two taps
From any profile, message or project. Pick a reason, add detail if you like, and it goes straight to a moderator.
Block anyone, any time
They can’t see you, find you or message you again, and they aren’t told.
People review every report
A real person, usually within 24 hours. Serious reports go to the front of the queue.
Filters that work quietly
Objectionable words and content are filtered automatically, before anyone has to report them.
Adults only
Everyone confirms they’re 18 or older and agrees to the Community Guidelines before they start.
How to report
Three taps, then it’s ours.
- Tap ••• on the profile, message or project.It’s in the top corner of every profile and project, and on any message you long-press.
- Choose what happened.Harassment, scams, impersonation, hate, sexual content, spam, danger, or something else. Add detail if it helps.
- We take it from there.A moderator reviews it, usually within 24 hours. You can block them at the same time. They’re never told who reported them.
Working with someone new
Trust is built, not assumed.
Most people here just want to make good things. A few habits keep it that way.
✓Do
- Keep early chats in the app, where you can report and block.
- Look at their work and ask about it before you commit.
- Start on video, and meet in a public place if you meet in person.
- Agree credit, ownership and pay in writing before work starts.
- Trust your instinct. Blocking isn’t rude; it’s your right.
✕Don’t
- Never pay to join a project, or for “training” or “equipment” up front.
- Never share passwords or verification codes, with anyone, for any reason.
- Don’t send money or ID to someone you’ve only met online.
- Don’t move to another app because someone is pushing you to.
- Don’t hand over work before you’ve agreed who owns it.
If you’re in danger, call your local emergency number first.
Then tell us. For anything involving a child’s safety, or anything urgent, write to the safety team directly: we read it before anything else, and we report child safety concerns to the authorities.
