Find a co-founder

Find the co-founder your idea is missing.

Say what you bring and what your startup still needs. Collaborators shows you people who need your skills and bring the ones you lack, and opens the conversation only when you both say yes.

How it works

Two people. One overlap.

  1. Say what you bring.Engineering, design, sales, a network in your industry. Be specific: “iOS engineering” finds better people than “tech”.
  2. Say what you need. The role you would hire first if you could. If you are technical, that is often growth or sales; if you are not, it is the engineer.
  3. Meet people who need you back.Collab Fit ranks people who need what you bring as well as bringing what you need, then weighs how much time they have and where they are.
No cold messages. A conversation opens only when you both say Collab, or when you accept someone onto your project. Everyone on Collaborators is 18 or over, and anyone can be reported or blocked from their profile.

What people use it for

Start with what you need.

Non-technical founder, needs an engineer

You have the customers, the problem and the plan. Find the person who can build the first version with you, not for you.

Engineer with a prototype

You can build anything, but nobody knows it exists. Meet someone who lives for distribution, sales or community.

An idea that needs a team

Post it as a project, open the roles, and share one link. People apply to a role, and you choose who joins.

Side project first

Not ready to quit your job? Say how many hours you have. Part-time founders are shown other part-time founders first.

Add the skills you bring, such as sales, marketing or industry knowledge, and add “Technical Co-founder” or the engineering skills you need. Discover then puts engineers who need what you bring at the top. You can also post your startup as a project with an engineering role and share the link.

Early on, a co-founder shares the risk and the decisions; a hire needs money you may not have yet. Many teams on Collaborators start as a small project, work together for a few weeks, and only then talk about equity. Agree credit, ownership and any equity in writing before you start.

No. A conversation only opens when you both say Collab, or when you accept someone onto your project. There are no cold pitches.
